At last some rain and fresh air!! I was getting a bit fed up with all this hot air... Now, as my brain seems to be freshened up I sat down one day as per usual brake from completing my orders and design few cards....just because I can. And because I love flowers this is what I came up with:
These cards are very simple and quick to make. Great for any occasion. Actually as I look at them now they would be lovely as a wedding invitation me thinks! Will have to sleep on that idea...
I have entered this card to a Clean & simple challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More! http://addictedtostamps-challenge.blogspot.co.uk/
Anyway, you can make this card too! Here is what you will need:
1. white cardstock measuring 21cm x 21cm (8 1/4" x 8 1/4") folded in half
2. piece of paper in your chosen colour measuring 21cm x 6cm
3. white scrap paper for flowers
4. ink pads, flower punch, gems
5. Scoring board and stylus
First, shape the piece of paper of your chosen colour on the long side using either scissors, like I did, or a border die or punch.
Then, using your scoring board and stylus - score the paper at every single line. I think that gives great embossing effect and makes the card not so boring anymore..
You might choose different pattern as well.... Why not...
Now stick it to your cardstock. I used fast fuse adhesive. Then, stamp your greeting.
You are almost there...
Now, what I call 'fun part' - stamping and cutting the flowers! I usually stamp lots of different colours, cut them and then see what ones go well together. So for this project I used 3 colours and actually used all of them because I liked how they looked together...
I glued the flowers to my card using mini glue dots.
I decided that the card needed a little bit of a blink so I added rhinestones to my flowers. They would look lovely with mini pearl gems too. And this is my finished card:
I hope you like my tutorial. You can see how quick and easy it is to make this card. Yes, it is very clean and simple but who said cards need to have lots on them to look cute?!
