How to make a paper doily flower

Me again. Yes, I have been busy on my blog recently. Cannot help having all these ideas and free time to create.

So here is another of my ideas - a shabby chick flower.

It's very quick and easy to make. All you need is:
- paper doilies
- hot glue gun
- scissors
- a gem/flower

Please click on the link below to see a short video tutorial.
I hope it's easy enough to follow.

I used the finished flower to embellish a gift box.
I wonder what you would youse the flower for?

Thanks for visiting my blog and watching my video tutorial.

Clean & simple challenge card

Good morning!

A very good morning actually. I love getting up early before my toddler wakes up. This morning I managed to create a quick and simple card that I would like to enter into this weeks challenge at:

My today's card is obviously in my favourite style, featuring some brown Kraft paper, jute string, doily and punched butterflies.

My card is A6 size. It has some white background paper on top of the brown card. I made a tag using Stampin up gift tag punch, added some jute string and used foam pad to stick it to my card. That gave me a little bit of dimension to my card.

On top I added a white doily and a wooden element - 'celebrate'. I also stamped some butterflies on brown card and cut them out using butterfly punches from Stampin Up!.

To finish it all off I added some pearl gems that compliment the card perfectly I think.

It is a very simple card I made for a little fun. The idea came out of nowhere and I like clean look.

Hope you enjoy my little project today.
Thank you for visiting my blog today.

Have a lovely day

vintage rustic inspired cards with lace, flowers and antique elements

Hello again!
I made these cards a little while ago, but never really posted them on my blog.
so here I am to show you another vintage inspired make of mine.

As you have probably noticed I love working with lace, antique embellishments, flowers etc...
so obviously I used my favourite decorative items in my cards
I have also added a box to keep my card safe.
This card is in lighter shades, as I made it thinking of a wedding....
I used lace patterned paper, beautiful wide ivory lace and lace trim with pearls,
I added an antique Alice key and some flowers.
I also used some pearl gems
The base for the card is brown kraft paper

And here is a box I made to put my card in and keep it safe
And this is how he card looks inside:
For my other card I used some darker shades but still lots of cream lace and flowers.
I love this card for having so many details...
I don't use any sentiments for these cards.
first of all I didn't know what sentiment would be the best - you could probably use this card for any occasion. second of all - I would not know where to put it!
I think the cards look just perfect as they are without any sentiment....
So, if you are looking for one of a kind card, inspired by vintage rustic style, why not ask me to make one for you?
And let me tell you, it will be very original - you will never ever find anything like it anywhere!
I hope again that my today's post inspired you or at least made you fall in love with vintage style.
Thanks for visiting my blog today

Tape roll sparkling gift / jewelry box

Can you see this? All this blink, sparkle...
I actually could not believe I made this! Yes, I made this gorgeous box and I have to say I am extremely proud of it!!!!
I did not really know you could make a box out of empty tape roll until I saw the idea
on Pinterest and decided to give it a go myself.
I needed a little box to put a little gift in for my friend. I was sorting out my rubbish and found an empty tape roll.... didn't have to think twice - the idea came to my head straight away
and this is what I created:

To create this box I used some card board - old parcel box actually and the used tape roll. I also used some hot glue gun, glitter paper, glitter ribbon, tacky glue and some gems....
I cut out 3 circles - 1 for the bottom of my box, and the other two I glued together to be the base of my box lid. Then I  covered the box and the lid with glitter paper. I used some ribbon and gems to decorate the box and that's it!

It requires a little bit of time, I must say but it is sooo worth it!!
I am planning on making a video tutorial as soon as I get a chance so stay tuned!!
More tape roll gift boxes coming!!
I hope you like my project as much as I do.
I am in fact in love with it!
Shame I am giving it away, but its for my friend after all!!

Shabby chick card with birds in matching envelobox

Hi there!
Today I would like to show you something I have never done before -  envelobox - an envelope that can hold a 3D card. this is my first attempt to create the box and I quite like the way it turned out. So I created a card to put in it ...and here it is, take a look at my gallery:

To create this card I used a patterned paper, and as there were some birds on it already I added a wooden bird element, wooden flower element, as well as a lace bow and some 3d flowers. The wooden elements come from one of my favourite on-line shops, here is the link:
I love working with vintage colours, usually brown and cream, but this time I played a little bit with pink and cream.
here is a closer look at my card:

To create the box for my card I used envelope punch board from Stampin Up! and followed simple instructions I found on YouTube....and lost it, because I did not save it nor even liked it. But there are so many tutorials...
To close the box I used some Velcro, but you could use some magnets or just a ribbon round the envelope would look nice as well.

I used some of the patterned paper on the front of the box to make sure it matches my card. I also used the same lace that's on my card. I think it all looks pretty nice... :)

Thanks very much for visiting my blog.
I hope that I gave you some inspiration for creating your own 3d card with matching box/envelobox

leafy border card set using Botanical Builder Dies from Stampin Up!

Hi guys, I'm here again dusting my blog... :)
Been working so hard on my orders forgot to take a break and visit my own blog! how rude of me...
But I am here now to show you a set of cards I made yesterday using another fabulous set from Stampin Up.
Here are my cards:

The die set is amazing. I didn't really know where to start or what dies to use to design my card so in the end I only used one die. And I think the final effect is stunning.
The idea was very simple to follow. I had my card base 6x6. I cut a square of a different colour paper  a little bit smaller than my card base and glued it together. Then, using my leaves die I cut borders of 2 pieces of paper - same paper as my base card. You can see what I mean in the picture above.... I know, I am not very good at describing things....
Anyway, next step - stamp your sentiment!!!!! somewhere in the middle, and THEN stick the two smaller pieces to the base - one at top and the other one at the bottom so that the leaves create a nice wavy space in the middle and show of the sentiment. I used some foam sticky pads/dimensionals to give them a bit of 3D effect.

To finish it off I used some clear self adhesive gems and Crystal Effect from Stampin Up to create the tiny shiny drops...

As you can see in the pictures above I also cut a nice leafy border for the card insert so that it all matches.
very simple, plain cards but I love them!!!
Below you will find the picture of the Botanical Builder die set
You can also take a look at Botanical stamp set, Designer series paper, washi tape, card stock and jewels - all coordinating with each other...

Washi tape card ideas

Hi there!
Thank you for visiting my blog!

Today I have another crafty idea for you: washi tape cards!!!
Have you ever played with them? I haven't really until today. I've had some in my draw for a while and after seeing so many ways of using washi tape I decided to create something myself and share the idea with you. What do u think of my cards?

You can get washi tape anywhere - craft shops, eBay, Amazon.... They come in different sizes, colours, patterns etc. I love to buy sets myself, coordinating colours or themed washi tape are great!

They come in handy when u need a quick card, trust me! Below are just a few cards I made for different occasions. Hope you like them :D

My first card - I used blue patterned washi tape. I arranged it in a square shape, added a ribbon bow to make it look like a gift box, added Happy Birthday sentiment. how simple and how cute is this card!

For my next card I used black & white polka dot washi tape. I added a butterfly in the centre with some golden thread, and card done! probably took me under 5mins to make it! Love it!

For this card I used a set of 3 washi tapes wedding 'themed'. Perfect to create a wedding congratulations card, don't you think? I also cut out a little butterfly (using the same washi tape) and added some sticky pearl gems....
So come on, get yourselves some washi tapes and get creative!

Mother's Day floral picture frame idea

Only few days till Mother's day!!! have you got your gift sorted?
For those who haven't - here is an idea I came up with while shopping for my art supplies.
What do you think??
I absolutely love this frame! All I need now is to print some wording to put inside it... :)
It's quite simple to make. Here is what you need:
picture frame
flowers (foam or paper ones)
paper leaves
ribbon bow
self-adhesive gems
glue gun and glue sticks
And this is pretty much it. If you haven't got a glue gun you could possibly use some other glue, like tacky glue or large glue dots but that might not hold the flowers as well as the hot glue!
So, first, I prepared my flowers. I used foam flowers, 2 different colours. I cut the green ends as I needed my flowers to be flat - makes it easier to glue them.
Next step, I used hot glue gun and arranged the flowers around my frame.
It already looks amazing, doesn't it??
next, I glued some paper leaves around the heart shape. I also used a hot glue gun.
Then added few gems, ribbon bow and here it is!!!
My lovely floral picture frame!!

It looks stunning, doesn't it!!
And you don't need to spend ££ to make it! This cost me just under £4!!
I hope you like my tutorial.
There is still time for you to make a frame like this for your mum!
But whoever you make this frame for, I am sure it will put a smile on their face!!
Thank you for popping in today
happy crafting
